AI-Ready Family Rules
The goal is not to fear AI or worship it. The goal is to build judgment before dependence.
AI helps you think. It does not think for you.
Use it to explain, quiz, brainstorm, or critique — not to replace your judgment.
Ask why before you trust what.
A good follow-up is: ‘How confident are you, and what could be wrong?’
Private stays private.
Do not share names, addresses, school details, passwords, private photos, or family problems with AI.
Show your work, even when AI helps.
If AI helped, say how. The goal is learning, not hiding.
Verify anything important.
For facts, health, money, school rules, or big decisions: check a real source or ask a trusted adult.
Keep one skill human-first.
Writing, math, art, friendship, courage — practice something without AI every week.
This week’s family question: “When should AI help us — and when should we do the hard thinking ourselves?”
